These rules may be called the E-Waste Management) Rules, 2016. These rules shall apply to every manufacturer,
producer, consumer, bulk consumer, collection centres, dealers, e-retailer, refurbisher, dismantler and recycler involved in manufacture, sale, transfer, purchase, collection,storage and processing of e-waste or electrical and electronic equipment listed in
Schedule I Plastic Waste Management Rules 2018 say that every manufacturer, producer or brand owner shall have responsibility of disposal of plastic packaging waste generated due to their business activities. Manufacturer, producer or brand owner shall notify ‘the quantity of plastic waste generated due to their business activities’ to state and central pollution control boards and ensure disposal by pyrolysis.
